About Amoeba

Etymologically, the word "amoeba" is derived from the Greek word amoibé which means change. EDB officers often form small teams that look at particular strategies and trends in detail, often on top of our regular job scopes. These project teams are termed Amoeba Groups. Now there is a change for young faces to do the same. During the EDB Amoeba Challenge from 1-3 June 2011, students like you will work within a team to tackle a case which would require them to analyse new businesses and industries, and develop specific strategies, recommendations and implementation plans. They would be given access to a customised portfolio of resources, and ample opportunities to conduct strategy discussions with EDB’s top management.
